Discovering the Blueprint
Your blueprint was never the problem
Perhaps you were never meant to become someone else. Perhaps you were only ever meant to become more fully yourself.
We spend much of our lives trying to fit into worlds that weren't designed with us in mind.
We learn who we're expected to be.
What success should look like.
What a "good" life is supposed to resemble.
Somewhere along the way, many of us lose contact with our own blueprint.
Not because it disappeared.
Because we became very good at ignoring it.
Our blueprint isn't a career.
It isn't a personality type.
It isn't a five-year plan.
It's the unique combination of your nervous system, your values, your creativity, your wounds, your strengths, your curiosities and the experiences that have shaped you.
It's the way life expresses itself through you.
The work isn't to invent that blueprint.
It's to uncover it.
So how do we reconnect?
Become deeply curious about yourself.
Pay attention to what gives you energy.
Notice what leaves you feeling expanded and what leaves you feeling contracted.
Your body often knows long before your mind does.
Make space to hear yourself.
Our lives are incredibly noisy.
Phones.
News.
Productivity.
Other people's expectations.
Sometimes what we call "not knowing" is simply the absence of enough quiet to listen.
Stop measuring yourself against someone else's path.
Comparison is one of the fastest ways to lose contact with your own blueprint.
Someone else's life may be beautiful.
It doesn't have to become yours.
Stay in relationship with your creativity.
Creative expression isn't reserved for artists.
It is the deeply human act of bringing something uniquely yours into the world.
A meal.
A garden.
A conversation.
A business.
A poem.
A way of loving your children.
Creativity is simply your blueprint becoming visible.
Let your life evolve.
Very few people discover who they are in one lightning-bolt moment.
More often, we uncover ourselves gradually.
One honest choice at a time.
One conversation.
One season.
One act of courage.
One breath.
You don't need to find your purpose.
What am I here for? What am I supposed to be doing?
We can create better questions for ourselves.
Perhaps a powerful question is:
What feels most deeply true for me today?
Live that answer long enough...
...and purpose has a remarkable way of finding you.
A gentle reminder
Your blueprint has never asked you to become anyone else.
Only to become more completely yourself.
